The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria. It is estimated that there will be a demand for more than five million sustainable building professionals in the next several years. As a LEED-accredited professional, you can place yourself at a distinct advantage for one of many sustainable building opportunities.

Course Duration:  4 days / 10 hours

Course Overview:

Green buildings respect the environmental impacts of the extraction of materials and processes related to their construction and operation, deliver cost savings and improved value to their owners, conserve energy and water consumption, and provide a healthy indoor environment for the people who live and work in them.  New green building mandates in the region have provided the high-level support for improving design and construction practices and building performance. Building professionals in the UAE are challenged to deliver sustainable buildings in a harsh climate that meet increasingly tougher energy and water efficiency requirements. Developers and owners are attracted to the operational savings, lower life-cycle cost, and reduced impact to the environment that they can achieve through green buildings.

The course provides essential knowledge of the LEED Rating Systems and sustainable building concepts for those seeking a better understanding of LEED or pursuing GBCI's LEED Green Associate credential. This course provides the essential information about:

  • >> LEED concepts at the credit category level.
  • >> Building types and rating systems.
  • >> Basics on the building certification process,
